Cautionary notes¶
"Boost clocks"¶
Nvidia Turing graphics cards self-OC, usually to well above the stated "boost clock". As a result, stated "boost clock" is not representative of what the card will hit at stock. As an example, the EVGA 2060 XC Ultra comes with a "boost clock" 150mhz above the FE (1830mhz vs 1680mhz). The average stock clocks measured by techpowerup were only 85mhz above the FE (1950mhz vs 1865mhz). As such core clocks should only be taken as rough indication of tier. Max power limit might be a more useful thing to look at.
"A" variant¶
Models with official boost clock above 1545mhz including the Nvidia Founder's Edition use the "A" variant of the 2080Ti chip, which is probably better binned. Non-"A" chips can still OC, but nvidia won't let their partners sell them with a factory OC. Supposedly non-"A" cards also aren't allowed a max power limit above 280W.
